For service treatments, Plantation Pest Management mostly focuses on a few pests. This includes spiders, mice, roaches, bed bugs, ticks, ants, fleas, and termites. The types of facilities serviced are both residential and commercial. While limited, they do claim effective treatment for all that they treat. 

The stand-out feature for this company is its inclusion of a rare barrier treatment process. It claims to be one of the few local businesses to offer a liquid or soil-based barrier treatment. This prevents the pests from even setting foot on your property. Plantation Pest Management also works with construction companies to prevent pests for new build sites. Prevention before a problem even arises seems to be their specialty. The company also offers an eco-friendly option as a bonus.

Being rated as highly affordable among its peers, this company gives free quotes and has a very promising quality guarantee. The guarantee states that if a customer is not fully satisfied with their service they are entitled to a full refund. Sounds too good to be true? 

Well, here’s where the huge downside of this business lies; It participates in some incredibly shady business practices. An overwhelming amount of its customers have encountered hidden preclusions to their terms and a completely inexcusable contract stipulation. The contract this company offers will auto-renew without notice or consent (minus a signature on a misread contract), requiring written notice 30 days before renewal. 

Now, with technology being where it stands there is no reason to require old-fashioned snail-mailed notice of termination for a contract. Especially for a Pest Control Company. What’s more, they also have many reviews stating that they were completely unaware of any service technicians even coming to their property. So with no notice of auto-renewal and sneaky practices, some were unaware they still had to pay for this service and were sent to collections.

Another bad president is this company’s scheduling and returning phone calls practices. Clients could not even get a hold of this company and left many unanswered voicemails. They also experienced constant late appointments and rescheduling. 

However, if the contracts and scheduling are taken out of the mix they do have good reviews regarding other aspects. Many customers who use its service relate their technicians as friendly and knowledgeable. Even one of the bad reviews mentioned that when they could get hold of them, they were nothing but nice. 

In short Plantation Pest Control offers good customer service and effective treatment with one huge caveat. The contract must be read and fully understood. For any BBB complaints, they were resolved by dropping the bills in the end. As long as a customer knows what they are signing up for they may receive a well-priced service.
