Jake and Jana Claus founded Natura Pest Control in 2013 in their hometown of Vancouver, Washington. In 2017, Jana’s brother Eric Bassett joined the company, and together the two men provide licensed services in nearly every pest control category. They are also Associate Certified Entomologists. After their initial inspection, they will provide a liquid barrier around the base of your home, a granular barrier around the yard, removal of any webs or nests, and rodent traps as necessary. Knowing that their products will naturally breakdown every two or three months, they schedule regular service every 90 days to ensure consistent and ongoing protection for your home.
This company seems to be very effective at getting rid of ants and spiders, although they also provide rodent services and treatments against fleas, bedbugs, box elder beetles, mosquitoes, and snails, among others. Interestingly, they have a pledge to protect honeybees, since they believe that the elimination of honeybees is bad for the environment. That stands out from other companies in the area. Natura is a family-friendly company devoted to providing safe treatments that won’t harm children or pets who might come into contact with them.
Reviewers were generally happy with Natura’s services. They reported prices of about $89-$99 for quarterly treatments, which is fair for the area. Most reviewers found the technicians respectful and knowledgeable and appreciated the customer service. However, there were a few complaints. Many of the reviewers were upset by salesmen coming to their door and trying to sell Natura’s services even though they specifically had “No soliciting” signs up. Some customers were also upset that the technicians were not wearing masks when they came for treatment. It also appears that Natura requires a $100 fee for cancellation, which was upsetting to some who were displeased with the service they received. Most poor reviews were answered by the staff at Natura with an effort to help make the problem right.
High reviews all mentioned the high level of professionalism in the technicians and their friendly customer service habits. Many also emphasized their fast response times, which were usually within a day of the first call. Most of the technicians appear to be respectful and very hard-working individuals. Customers were delighted with the quick, efficient, and knowledgeable staff and emphasized that there was a high level of safety for pets and children as well.
Overall, Natura seems to be a professional and family-friendly company. They have a few issues with unwanted solicitations and sometimes poor treatment, but they also often work to resolve complaints. All around they are a small but successful company in the Washington and Oregon area.
