Gregory Pest Solutions is a pest control company headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina. The company was started in 1972 by a young couple in their 20’s, and it has grown to become the 33rd largest pest control company in the nation.
It serves 12 states in the Southeast, offering residential and commercial services from typical pest control to large-scale treatments. The company has only continued to grow over the last few decades, as it made every effort to keep up with the demand for its excellent customer care. The main office is at 200 Smith Hines Rd. in Greenville, South Carolina.
Gregory Pest Solutions offers residential and corporate pest removal services. Its residential services include a Residential Pest Protection Plan (a custom, long-term service that helps protect your family from pests over time), termite control and removal, mosquito control and removal, bed bug treatments, honey bee hive services, and crawl space and moisture control.
Its commercial pest control services include standard pest control, audit protection, food and safety training, termite control, wildlife management, bird control, mosquito control, pond remediation services, and fumigation services. The company also has a new service called Disinfectix, where it disinfects your entire work site to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
There are a few things about Gregory Pest Solutions that seem particularly unique when compared to other pest control companies.
The first would be honey bee hive services. If you are a beekeeper in upstate South Carolina, this is the company for you. Gregory offers hive maintenance services where it takes care of your hives, feeds your bees, and adds additional supers when needed.
The company can also perform wellness checks on your queen bee(s) and inspect the hive to decrease the probability that your colony of bees will collapse. If the colony does end up collapsing, Gregory will replace your bees cost-free. Finally, the company can help with extracting and processing your honey after the first year.
The second unique feature is the Disinfectix service. Everyone needs to be doing their part to stop the spread of COVID-19, and if you are an employer, you have a personal responsibility to prevent your employees from contracting this potentially life-threatening disease. Gregory offers this disinfectant service so your employees can feel safe and at ease during the workday, leading to less illness and, ultimately, greater productivity for your business.
It’s a bit unclear how budget-friendly this company is. From a quick scan of its website, it doesn’t seem like there are any prices listed, so it’s hard to compare its pricing to other companies. It also doesn’t appear to offer free inspections, but you can request a free estimate by filling out a simple form on the website. The company does have an online chat where you can communicate with customer service about your needs, which seems like a very easy, approachable way to get any questions answered. Of course, if you aren’t comfortable with that, you can always call the company on the phone at (866) 349-3752.
Gregory seems to prioritize family, which makes sense as it is a family-owned and operated business. Its website says that “we pride ourselves on our ability to offer safe and ecologically-friendly pest control solutions that not only remove existing pests but prevent future infestations as well.”
However, there aren’t very many details listed when it comes to child or pet safety, or what makes the company more eco-friendly than others. It does say, however, that its Residential Pest Protection Plan “takes into account your home, needs, and specific concerns,” so we’re sure this is something that could be discussed during a consultation.
As far as reviews go, Gregory’s are a bit confusing. The company only has six recommended reviews on Yelp, which settle out to a measly 2.5 stars, yet it has an average of 4.6 stars on Google Reviews out of 79 reviews as well as hundreds of five-star reviews on its website. These site reviews seem to come from automated customer surveys.
However, the few low reviews seem to mostly be about somewhat petty concerns, like a technician using the bathroom in a client’s house. Another couple of people reported poor communication and leftover bugs after the treatment was complete.
Overall, it seems that Gregory Pest Solutions is a pretty decent company, as it has an A+ rating from the BBB, and the majority of the reviews are glowing.
