In 2013, Gold Seal Termite & Pest Control sold their business and now operates under the name of Presto-X Pest Control.

They are part of the Rentokil family, which is the world’s largest commercial pest control company with locations in 50 countries around the globe. The companies include Ehrlich Pest Control, Western Exterminator, and Presto-X Pest Control. There are 150 North American local branches throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Founded in Omaha, Nebraska in 1932, Presto-X Pest Control services both residential and commercial customers. They employ 1900 technicians that provide service to Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Illinois, and Texas. The main regional office for Indianapolis is located at 5701 Fortune Circle S, Suite K, Indianapolis, Indiana 46241.

Their highly-trained technicians are state-licensed and certified to handle pest control, bed bugs, bioremediation, bird control, vegetation management, deer repellent services, wild-animal trapping, and annual termite inspections. The pests that they commonly eradicate and exterminate include ants, spiders, cockroaches, carpenter bees, yellow jackets, centipedes/millipedes, fleas, ticks, termites, mosquitoes, bed bugs, rats, and mice.

I really like two of the unique ways this company addresses pest control issues.

First, Presto-X uses an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) system. The unique service takes into consideration pest food sources, their life cycles, and specific breeding habits. The goal is to stop pest problems before they occur.

Secondly, the Mosquito Service Plan offers season-long protection by creating monthly barrier treatments for the yard.

The company does receive numerous negative online reviews for their service. Their Google rating is 2.4 out of 5 stars. Several customers have complained of unethical billing practices and receiving charges for services they didn’t receive. Others complained of problems with pests persisting even after the technician claimed to have treated the area. 

Most customers were unhappy with the service from Gold Seal, and the complaints have lessened under the Presto-X name. One customer, in particular, left a review stating she didn’t receive notice of the change in ownership, and her annual service contract with Gold Seal became null and void.

It appears customers that utilized the services of this business when it was under a different name were not happy with the treatment they received.
