GAG Pest Control was established in 1991 by Greg Goetz. Its name is derived from the owner’s initials, and has morphed into the company motto: “GAG ’em till they’re dead.” The company is located in North East Orlando, but it doesn’t disclose its entire service area. While GAG has been in business for almost 30 years, it has very few online reviews (only about 15 in total between Yelp and Google.) Its website proclaims a guarantee of services, however, there are no terms and conditions on its website for said guarantee.
GAG specializes in treating indoor insects, specifically bed bugs, termites, and wood-destroying beetles. The company can also treat a few outdoor insects like fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. Additionally, GAG can exterminate rodents, whether they are indoor or outdoor. The company can treat homes and businesses. A technician can also examine the property and determine if there are any risks to future pest infestations, like gaps in doors and windows. GAG will also leave baits and traps as part of its preventative treatment plan.
One of GAG’s special services is tented fumigation. It has all the necessary equipment and certified technicians to tent and treat even large buildings. While more expensive than other options, tent fumigation is the quickest way to eradicate serious pest problems. Fumigants are preferred by customers who have “zero tolerance” for bugs. Another perk is that GAG has a fumigation vault in its shop. Customers like being able to fumigate a piece of furniture or mattress instead of the entire house. This is quite handy when minor infestations are detected early.
It can be difficult to find a fumigation company that offers a fair price for residential jobs, but GAG has a fair price. The company offers free quotes via phone call and email. The actual cost can vary a great deal from property to property. The size of the property, the severity of the infestation, and the type of pest will dictate the final cost. Of GAG’s few reviews, a number of customers report being very satisfied with the price. Additionally, GAG prides itself by doing a one and done treatment; there should be no reason to pay for additional fumigation treatments.
GAG takes safety and responsibility seriously. Any baits are locked in a childproof box for protection. The company has three different fumigation methods in its arsenal: Gas, Solid, and Liquid. These different techniques can be mixed and matched based on a customer’s safety needs. All of these options are highly toxic, but GAG has the expertise to keep up the fumigation tents until the building is perfectly safe for re-entry.
It’s difficult to determine GAG’s quality given the very limited number of reviews online; it seems that internet marketing is not a high priority. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It is quite possible that it is generating enough business through referrals. Many contractors dream of such a high quality that it doesn’t have to put any money into marketing. GAG’s most common complaint is that some customers had to reschedule their fumigation with little advance notice and some errors in invoicing.
