Company Review
Founded in 1987, Atomic Pest Control purchased Amera Pest Control in 2018. Atomic is a family-owned business that serves residential and commercial properties in the Phoenix area, the Flagstaff area, and the Payson area. Its main office is located at 6955 E. Baseline Rd. Mesa, AZ 85209.
Atomic Pest Control isn’t afraid to get its hands dirty when it comes to exterminating and controlling spiders, ants, termites, bees, bed bugs, scorpions, birds, pigeons, mice, and rats. If weeds instead of pests are tormenting your home or business, don’t worry! Atomic is still the company you want to call.
Atomic Pest Control possesses a number of features that help attract customers. The one that grabbed my attention is its T.A.P insulation service. T.A.P is a special type of insulation that aids in controlling the pests inside a home or business. The insulation is made from 80% recycled paper, meaning it is an eco-friendly pest management tool. Mixed in with the recycled paper is a borate substance, which is a natural treatment used in pest control. The borate works by halting an insect’s metabolism, which causes it to die. Although the price tag for installing T.A.P insulation is not listed on Atomic’s website, you can call the company to receive a free consultation.
As stated above, prices are not shown on Atomic’s website. However, a simple phone call and a free consultation can get you the answers you’re looking for. After a sales representative talks to you and a technician inspects your home or business, a price will be supplied. At that time the representative may also go over the company’s prices for its long-term pest control contracts.
Reviews of Atomic Pest Control are extremely divided. Many of its long-time customers swear by the company’s pest control techniques and have nothing but positive things to say about the highly trained technicians. They often praise the technicians for their punctuality and their broad knowledge base. However, when Atomic took over Amera Pest Control, it did not honor the termite warranties bought by Amera customers unless they paid a $125 fee. Unfortunately, this caused many new customers to distrust Atomic Pest Control. Other negative reviews complain about missed appointments, pest control inquiries not being returned, and billing issues.
Standing out in an overcrowded industry is often an uphill battle for many pest control companies. However, Atomic’s customer-focused pest control has afforded it a loyal clientele who continue to trust in the company’s ability to exterminate and protect their homes against the most common and the most unusual pest encroachments. New customers, however, find Atomic’s services questionable when it comes to billing practices and showing up for scheduled appointments.
